EMC participates in Habitat for Humanity Build

Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation – October 22, 2021 - EMC staff joined Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce for a volunteer day, held at Neyaashiinigmiing, the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation, located on the east shore of the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula. Fifteen volunteers worked on two houses to install insulation, vapor barrier and exterior stone cladding. EMC volunteers were humbled to listen and learn from local community members and families who will soon call these buildings home.

“I absolutely love to support the local community,” says William Cronin, President of Canadian Operations. “Together, we aim to work collaboratively to build a safe and welcoming community for all individuals, supporting a peaceful and caring environment.”

As a PAR Committed company, and member of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business, EMC is committed to having a positive and collaborative relationship with surrounding Aboriginal Communities. We can’t wait to return to Neyaashiinigmiing – next up, paint!
